Will the Australian Breeding Industry fall on its own sword??

Hello  I am seeing a real unhealthy trend in what is happening in the breeding industry in Australia and if we are not careful and do not take note of the signs there will be a massive correction in stud fees in the next five years.

Please know that I only have love for the industry but I am also seeing this from the outside as I am not living in it anymore.

Who are the most successful stallions in Australia as the moment?

Snitzel

Zoustar

Fastnet Rock

I Am Invincible 

Now name me a successful son that is anywhere near the accomplishments of the five main sources of our breeding industry at the moment. 

Let’s take Snitzel,  he has many sons at stud and not one has come anywhere close to what he has done or is doing.

Same for Zoustar, is there  a son also that is doing what his father is doing. 

Fastnet Rock. An abject failure as a sire of sires

I Am Invincible also to this stage has not produced near the quality of what he has achieved. 

Written Tycoon also. But he just might have a very promising son in Ole Kirk. ONE

In my view a very dismal performance and the fees that are being asked for these sons are not sustainable.   Where is there ROI?

I believe the introduction of new lines is what needs to happen to improve the gene pool?   

Dubawi seems to have found a great son in Too Darn Hot and Wootten Bassett is a great addition to the pool as well.

We need to look strenuously for other sources or my fear is that the industry will definitely fall on its own sword.
